For the last two years we have sent our son to Camp Chippewa for 4 weeks and he won't stop talking about his adventures at Camp until the next summer :). Every year he comes back with more confidence and independence which transfer to home and school. Camp Chippewa is a special place for boys to develop into men, we will be sending our son here every summer until he graduates.

Summer 2024 was my 10 year old son's first experience at Camp Chippewa (CC). He went for two weeks and had the best time of his life. CC staff communicated so well with me ahead of camp on what to expect, prepare for, pack, how to arrive and leave, etc. I was fully prepared and at ease to send my kiddo when the time came. While at camp CC staff kept me well informed on how he was doing and adjusting to camp through letters from counselors and pictures. When I picked him up, I got to tour the camp and it was just beautiful! (Kinda of jealous I never got to experience such a camp as a kid.) When he returned, I saw so much growth in his independence and leadership skills. He had great stories of new friendships and new things he could do - rock climbing, archery, shooting, etc. He eagerly awaits returning next summer for a month, and I feel confident and happy to send him to such a wonderful and safe place.

A fantastic experience in every respect. Our son has been to camp every summer for the last 6 years. Chippewa is unique — it provides a diverse range of opportunities to help boys challenge themselves while growing their leadership skills, self-confidence, self-awareness, and ability to persevere. It’s also a place where boys can make friends with kids from all over, learning to relate to each other as peers and equals. Camp is exceptionally well run and organized, and the entire program is carefully and intentionally designed to bring out the best in every camper. Just a wonderful place.

I was a camper at Chippewa and I couldn't wait for my son to be old enough to go. He went the first time at eight years old for two weeks and it quickly became one of his favorite places in the world. Six years later he goes for two months (full session). He has learned many life skills like independence, leadership and personal responsibility. The camp is well run with the support of an amazing staff. The older campers go on increasingly challenging canoe trips into Canada that have become the highlight of my son's experience. I can't recommend Chippewa highly enough.

Camp Chippewa for Boys has been a gift of character and confidence that I enjoy giving to my son annually (for the past 6 years, staring as he was entering 3rd grade). All camps should be fun but Chippewa takes leaps an bounds above others in thoughtful programming that aims to put challenges, fun and a well trained staff in front of a developing child while away from home. I value the non-tech environment, diligently trained staff, beautiful surroundings and the all-around caring that happens at this special place. Each year the trip experience grows and this year my son canoed with others in Canada on a week long trip and next summer he will take a longer trip into the boundary water of Canada with new opportunities to learn grit hands-on. I know that when my son returns each year from camp he has new tools to support confidence, comraderie with others and resilience to take on new challenges when back to routine life. We did our research when selecting a camp and we have been willing to fly our son from California to Minnesota so that he may experience all that Chippewa consistently offers. Thank you Camp Chippewa!
