I had some good memories swimming there. Back around "2001 to around "2003. Me and my brother and sister used to go there. There was a lifeguard who worked there... Trevor I think was his name. We will never forget him. He was so friendly and made it fun for us. We sadly lost contact with him after me and my family move to Florida and he also left to another State. If he ever read this just know we never forgot you.😊. Good memories.

I am 84 years old and grew up in Rochester New York. I now live in So. California. I frequented Ave D playground in my youth on a daily basis. Played baseball daily and was on a team in the BOY league. Chuck Mangione was my teammate. Many fond memories of Ave D playground. I can’t imagine how it has changed.

It is a place for inner city youths. Has out door pool also. But neighborhood is not the best. I actually lived few house down from this place. However it’s great for kids and has lots of out reach programs.

Ave D is a wonderful rec center for youth to enjoy their free time in a safe, supervised and facilitated environment. The staff is there to asdist with homework and reading and are truly invested in not only the youth that visit the center but the community surrounding it as well. We live in the suburbs and my kids beg me to go visit the many friends they've made at Ave D. They feel like extended family to us.
