I emailed them and they never responded, I tried calling and I keep getting routed to their voicemails. I also keep getting my money refunded because too many players sign up and no parents volunteer to coach. You might as well look at other recreational sports like PSA who have 3 locations.

Every single year, the ASA Softball board advertises a set of rules and expectations on its website for the upcoming season, only to change those after registration closes. Two examples, but there are many more: From June 25th to August 16th of this year, the league advertised that a Saturday game would take place on Saturday, September 6. Coaches and parents made plans around this. Two and a half months after that initial announcement, they changed the date to Saturday, September 13th. Great, now parents who made plans to travel or play other sports that weekend will lose 10% of the money they paid for registration because they can’t make it that day. For two months over the summer, their website advertised that games would be on the league night plus Saturday, “as necessary.” During the coach’s meeting, they changed this to “Occasional Saturdays” and stated that teams should “expect” to play on weekends regularly. 20% of games are actually scheduled on Saturdays, on purpose, instead of being scheduled “as necessary”. That is NOT the product you advertised. None of this was communicated until more than 2 weeks AFTER registration closed. This is just the tip of the lying iceberg. The most recent Pink in Park Tournament continued this tradition of bait-and-switch abuse. What do you call it when someone changes the terms and conditions for a service AFTER you pay and fails to deliver the product originally advertised? Fraud. Given how much softball board members of this league publicly trash-talk PSA and Wylie at coaches' meetings, you’d think they’d have their act together The only positive aspect of this league is the turf fields.

We have done two seasons of Softball with ASA. The concession stand is great, score boards actually work, and the turf fields are amazing.

🌟 5/5 Stars – A Must for Youth Sports in Allen\Lucas\Fairview! 🌟 As a parent of three kids who’ve all played soccer with the Allen Sports Association (ASA), I can’t recommend this organization enough! What truly sets ASA apart is their genuine care for kids and families. When we needed to switch teams or adjust placements, every interaction was handled with professionalism, kindness, and respect for both the players and parents. They made sure my kids felt supported, never overlooked, which speaks volumes about their values. ASA’s programs are inclusive, welcoming athletes of all skill levels, and their volunteers and coaches create a positive, encouraging environment. My kids have not only grown as players but have also learned teamwork and sportsmanship—all while having fun! The facilities are consistently clean and well-maintained, thanks to their partnerships with local organizations, and the variety of sports offered means there’s something for every child. To the ASA team: Thank you for fostering a community where kids come first. Your dedication shines through in every practice, game, and smile. Highly recommend to any family in Allen, Lucas, or Fairview! #YouthSports #AllenTX #ASAFanForLife

My boys have both played sports with ASA for the last ten years, and of course there are always hiccups when organizing thousands of kids across multiple sports, which is why I joined the baseball board last year to help wherever I could. Getting to know the people in the ASA office has really opened my eyes to how passionate they are about providing a fun and safe atmosphere for our kids to learn how to play sports. It is a hard job but they do it to the best of their ability!
