Private
Steve & Kate's Camp is a summer day camp for children ages 4-12 in Dallas, part of a national chain operating since 1980. Its signature approach lets kids choose their own activities in real time from more than a dozen options such as coding, sewing, cooking and sports. One fee covers 8 a.m.-6 p.m. with lunch and snacks, and families buy flexible day passes usable any time across the summer, with unused passes refunded.

Powered by GoogleFirst, I am writing this review because I sent a complaint directly to Steve & Kate leadership in Dallas with no response. I gave them months to respond. This camp was unsafe for my 5 year old. He attended the Dallas location 7/30 and 7/31 of 2025. The camp looked awesome with lots of activities. He was really looking forward to it. I had no idea that all those activities get boxed up 3 days before camp ends. No one told me that until I complained on the last day. Very few staff members. None that knew the answers to any of my questions. It was very boring and extremely hot. My son’s water bottle was in his backpack and they would not let him go to his bag to get it because we purchased the hot meal. He was lost and didn’t know where anything was bc it was his first time there. I told the lady that and no one helped him. They just told him where to put his backpack. No water fountain that he could reach or find. He was severely dehydrated and lethargic when I came to pick him up on the second day. They had trouble locating him too. No ID card could be made bc they already sold off the printers. That is dangerous. How would you know about his allergies?! How do you know he went home with the right person?! The lady at the desk was not helpful or courteous. No one seemed to care about my son’s safety or welfare at all. I will never use this company again. No one responded to my complaint.
Best summer camp ever for my kid. I found them through an event and my kid won free day pass for the camp as scholarship. There are very well organized. They do a lot of activities and she is always happy to show me or tell me about her day after camp. It is a day camp. They have long hours and they provide food and snacks. I am happy to know this place because I did not know about them when I was in Dallas. I don’t mind driving an hour to drop her there because I know she will have a blast. It is close to my work place to so it is a win win. I wish my workplace was partnering with them too. You can check if your workplace does. It is even better. She practiced sewing, baking, 3 d printing, and many more. It is very different from the camp she used to go. Check out if you wish but I am sure your kiddo will have fun. I just wished we were not living so far away. Oh another great thing is that you don’t have to pay for the week. You can pay day passes. It works awesome for me on days I work from home. I don’t have to loose a week. You only pay for the day the kid goes in. They have express check in and out. I like the structure. It makes every drop off quick and smooth. They are outside waiting on you so you in and out your car so quick ready to drive off. What a blessing! Well I am big on summer camp. I research a lot of them for activities and care. I go in person to find answer and make sure that my kid will get good things out of it, nit just play around. This one is definitely one of my favorites.
