We did spring soccer for my 7 yo daughter whose only experience was 2 seasons with i9. By comparison, the Richardson Y was organized, friendly, and drama-free. We loved the coaches and parents and my daughter and I both made friends. It was also great to have real practices (at i9 they only practiced for 30 mins before each game), to have all our games at the same spot with plenty of room, and to see my daughter improve as a player and teammate. Overall a great experience and we will be back.

Renee was absolutely combative and argumentative instead of trying to provide customer service. I went to another YMCA and instead of being argumentative they helped me with such ease to get my membership situated I sure wish I could’ve received that service when I visited this location I suppose classiness and service is non existent at this location.

Camp on the Lake has always been a favorite for my son. To be able to disconnect from screens and go outside and play! My son has been attending Camp on the Lake since he was 6 and he is now 13. He has had a heart for this camp from the activities, friends and especially the counselors. The staff at the camp have always been beyond exceptional and leave an imprint on my sons life year after year. We are sad that this year will be his last as he will age out at the camp but the memories will last a lifetime.

Extremely Disappointed – Regret Sending My Son Here I have cancelled my son’s summer camp with YMCA and deeply regret ever enrolling him. The entire experience has been a complete letdown, and the way they’ve handled the situation shows a shocking lack of care and professionalism. First, the swimming classes were useless—despite my son’s near-drowning incident at our apartment pool (where he had to be rescued), the instructors never pushed him to learn or improve, even after I explicitly shared my concerns. What’s the point of swimming lessons if the teachers don’t actually teach? Then, when I tried to cancel, the billing department suddenly became very responsive, threatening to send my account to collections if I didn’t pay their cancellation fee. Yet, when I called multiple times before to address my concerns, no one answered or returned my calls. How convenient that they only care when money is involved! I expected better from an organization with a reputation like YMCA, but clearly, morals and customer care are not a priority for them. I’m paying their ridiculous fee just to be done with this nightmare, but I strongly warn other parents—don’t waste your time or money here. There are far better programs that actually care about children’s safety and progress. Zero stars if I could.
