Powered by GoogleI come here to lap swim but every time I go, I can't help but to feel more and more frustrated every single time I visit. First off, the time schedule for lap swimming in both the cold and warm pools are ridiculous. The times either start extremely early in the morning when I'm heading out to school or extremely late in the day when I'm at work and it feels impossible for me to get my daily exercises in. Every time I go to swim on Sunday, it's the same time as Family swim, all the lap lanes are filled with classes even though it says on the time schedule that lap lane starts at 2 pm. Only one lap lane is open and it is still filled with swimmers. I have to wait 30 minutes for the classes to end. I paid in full for the full year but I feel like I am wasting my money on something that I have to arrange my whole schedule to swim. I truly think they should make another swimming pool so it's not cramped and people have to wait all the time. I am definitely will be canceling my membership unless they fix the issue.
Very warm & welcoming place with great workout classes that can be easily adapted for those of us who are older & may have sports injuries from our younger days. I just love it!
Wonderful experience for a baby/toddler! Amazing selection of parents & baby classes including baby gymsters, baby swim, and fun family activities. We have been a part of other YMCAs in the area and this location is our favorite! Yes the swim schedules for free swim might be a bit limited, but if your schedule allows flexibility- highly recommend! Also the spring lake in the summer is my baby/toddler’s favorite! She loves seeing the campers and big kids swim and splash around. We love the ease of the changing table in the bathhouse and of course, delicious fruits for the summer! It’s truly a perfect beach escape for a parent & baby especially when 2 hours might be as much time as we can get in. Very convenient to have a cool off area, shady grass area, and local gym to cool down during those hot days.
The only reason why I joined this gym was for their new, heated pool. However, a regular working person seems to be the least valuable customer and the last person they think of. Their schedule for lap swimming is absolutely unacceptable. I have to adjust my entire life around the available hours and many times it is inconvenient and incredibly short. And then they also change it every several times each season!
My experience at the Wyckoff YMCA is outstanding!!! The staff are very polite and respectful to me especially Jerry, Shannon, Peyton, Ashlyn, Patti, Jared, Brian, Dennis, and Kyle. I usually attend dinner-chat and let's reconnect on Friday nights at the Wyckoff YMCA and I love it!!! I usually eat 3 slices of pizza and 2 Caesar Salads and then talk to Shannon and give her a hug cause she loves having me at the YMCA. I love the Wyckoff YMCA!!!!
