Wolverine Worldwide Family YMCA
Private
Belmont branch of the YMCA of Greater Grand Rapids offering full-day summer day camps (roughly June through mid-August) for children, with weekly themed activities, crafts, games, swimming and field trips. Campers bring a lunch while snacks are provided, and financial assistance is available. This is a membership-based community Y facility rather than a dedicated camp property.

Powered by GoogleThe cleanest Y in Kent County, although the men's lockers need to be vacuumed and wiped out. The biggest complaint is that there is no sauna.
The staff are super friendly and will adjust the pool water temp when it gets too cold for seniors. I love all the windows and open feel in pool area, and I always see someone cleaning. I like that they offer free coffee, and that that they accept my medicare so I can enjoy at no charge. I also like that they do discounts for low income folks. I'm so happy my insurance was no longer accepted at my prior pool because this YMCA is properly managed, cleaner, accommodating, welcoming, and so much better in every way!
I find the facilities and workout equipment are clean and functioning well. The staff is really friendly and takes the time to answer all my questions. The locker rooms and pools are sanitary/hygienic, and well-maintained.
Great place to go workout super friendly people, basketball is great, good classes, child care, great workout spaces, yoga spaces, has everything a great gym would need so glad I have one so close to my house !
It's the worst YMCA in West Michigan. Other Y's have more amenities, have been renovated. The gym floors are always dirty even though the shortened their hours during covid for "more cleaning" it's not happening. They fix everything with duct tape. They have upgraded the gym machines but that is all. The pool is just a pool and hot tub, not saunas, nothing fun for the kids. Wish I lived closer to a different Y. Please fix the broken basketball hoop, the noise it makes is ridiculous.
