The White Rock YMCA is more than a workout facility. It has child care, the most robust list of classes I’ve ever seen, swim lessons, child care!, summer day camp for kids, and community. There are CPR classes, babysitting classes, LIVESTRONG for cancer survivors, dance classes and more. There’s something for everyone!

I love everything about the White Rock YMCA. In off hours the parking is abundant; during busy times there is additional street parking. The people working the reception desk are friendly and their warm greeting always brightens my day. Check-in is so fast & easy. There is plenty of fitness equipment and I rarely have to wait for someone to finish a machine and the few times that I have; it was a short wait. I like to work with free weights and even though I'm a little older and not as fit as some of the others working out in that area; I have always been made to feel welcome there. The trainers are always willing to answer questions about how a machine works or the benefits of a specific exercise. I have yet to join a group fitness class; it's on my "to do" list. I have noticed a sense of camaraderie among the people who do classes together. The YMCA offers a monthly blood drive which allows members to give back to the community in a quick and easy manner. They also have many community outreach programs for youth, families and seniors, with volunteer positions. They support and engage with the community in a variety of different ways; including health and mental wellness programs, fitness programs, nutrition education, food distribution and workforce training and development. It's nice to feel a part of something bigger!

It's generally fine. Just understand that if you plan to take popular classes, you need to show up 20 to 30 minutes early to save a space for yourself in the class. If you work and can't do that, tough luck. Oh and the parking lot is much too small for the intended purpose. People end up parking in the streets and neighborhoods nearby. MANY better options overall.

strong pickleball group here, and Kenna is an excellent instructor for the beginner session. yes, they have paddles for you to borrow if you haven't bought one. additionally, most of the machines on the floor are Cybex, which is an excellent brand. but every machine is taken at peak times, so plan accordingly. great staff, super friendly. very cool interior with huge windows. I love coming here.

I love having access to childcare while I work out—it makes such a difference! Raymond has been consistently kind and welcoming, always greeting my daughter with a smile. I also really enjoy the variety of fitness classes and the amazing instructors. Shout out to my favorite instructor Whitney & LesMills BodyPump! The facilities are clean and inviting, and the overall atmosphere is very family-friendly. It truly feels like a supportive community.
