Westlake Yacht Club runs a Junior Sailing Academy on Westlake Lake in Westlake Village, teaching young sailors to rig, sail and eventually race, and encouraging them into the club's monthly regattas through the year. Juniors sail RS Teras, Lasers, CFJs and Catalina 14s; the year-round junior program serves ages 9-18 and the summer sailing camp is open to ages 8-17. No experience is necessary and the program is open to the general public rather than club members only.

★Cindi RinkerI am writing to formally address a series of unprofessional interactions I experienced following my child’s graduation event at the venue. On the day following the event, I returned a call from an individual identifying himself as "Bill" to address a service error regarding my order. Specifically, I was served a drink containing vodka despite having requested a Malibu-based beverage; this substitution caused me a severe physical reaction. While my initial intent was simply to resolve this matter privately with the nice guy who made the drink, I was met with mockery rather than professional concern. During my follow-up visit to the venue, I encountered a staff member—an older woman who provides catering services for the Yacht Club—who falsely presented herself as the venue's manager. Furthermore, I have learned that this individual is closely associated with Erin Rapapport, an event organizer and photographer with whom I have had previous uncomfortable experiences involving my family. Given this connection, the dismissive and inappropriate treatment I received appears to be part of a larger pattern of unprofessionalism. I am deeply disappointed by this lack of accountability and am documenting this matter to ensure it is addressed by the appropriate leadership.

Easy setups, there’s a spot reserved where we usually setup and it’s plenty of room for our photo booth equipment. Plenty of parking and the view is amazing. The patio overlooks the lake and the inside can be transformed to match the event vibe Stephanie (event manager) is super friendly, easy to work with, great communication and have a great personality. The rest of the staff is also great. We’ve worked at countless venues and it’s hard to find great staff that treats you like you’re part of their team Looking forward to the next event!
