Awesome experience, Christ centered Christian camp, the facilities we're amazing and welcoming staff.

Good cabins (AC and Heat), great message, and an enjoyable experience. A lot to do but a lot of walking. Stairs will be your enemy after a week there. Food was mediocre, and no coffee is available for campers in the morning except for chaperones. Coffee is bought separately at their “cool beans” cafe which, if it was its own small business, was really good. I’d recommend going there and doing as much as you can, specifically zip lining. The zip view is beautiful. If food was satisfactory for me I’d give it 5 star, other than that no complaints.

The most amazing place in the south eastern US featuring waterfalls, a zip line, watercraft and nature’s finest. But the spiritual effect on the heart of man is its foremost characteristic! Couples retreats, summer camps and general inspirational outings are the hallmark of its existence!

The Wilds is built off of a loving staff that cares for the spiritual well-being of their campers. The Wilds has changed countless lives throughout their entire existence and Christ is still at the center of their purpose after all of these years. I fully understand that there may be people that have had poor experiences here, but I personally have experienced a great relationship with each of the counselors that I had in all of the times I went there. If you are looking to send your child to a truly unique camp where they can experience incredible parts of nature (zip lining over waterfalls, taking hikes through the beautiful hills of North Carolina, tubing through their creek, etc.) and above all receive godly counsel and preaching from loving people, then I would highly recommend sending them to The Wilds!

We had the opportunity to volunteer for the hurricane damage clean up. The camp is an amazing place to bring your family and young people. The staff are very pleasant and helpful. We had the opportunity to meet many of them and were blessed for sure! Amazing location with plenty of activities for both the young and old! Looking forward to going back at some point.
