Camp activities span art, music, drama, whitewater paddling, rock climbing, horseback riding, athletics and swimming. The foundation also runs the Outdoor Academy (a semester school) and Hante Adventures wilderness/cultural trips for teens.

It had such an impact on me of the summers I was aged 12 through 15 years old which impacts me even today at age 49. I am now and forever a member of the wahila tribe. I came across photos letters and other memorabilia recently from my time there as well as going back for a reunion one Summer and then touring in November 2004 when on a trip at Lake Lure, NC. I had always wanted to be able to go back to this camp as a counselor and teacher or some other support person whether at the camp or the school. My work has been as a healthcare worker for 27 years but I have developed a lot of other creative areas of my life that would definitely lend itself to teaching/leading courses at the camp from dance, photography etc

It is screen free and they train the staff and counselors in a lot of methods to keep the children safe. They also have some very interesting and unique classes for the kids to take in addition to the normal summer camp ones (paddling, rock climbing, etc.).
