Years ago, I did a simple Google search for North Carolina based summer camps because my husband and I wanted our daughter to have her first overnight camp experience. The search was something like sleepaway Summer camps , NC mountains, lake, secular. Camp Pinnacle came right up. I knew nothing of it before that search. How would I have known that now four years later, our family would be a “Camp Pinnacle family”?! Our daughter has been attending Camp Pinnacle for the last three summers and when you hear her talk about her summers enter summer plans, she’s very quick to say that she will be returning to Camp Pinnacle. And she speaks of this camp like it’s a part of her life. As if it’s her Home. There’s a lot of pride there. And she is extremely proud to have earned her Camp Pinnacle paddle, which every camper receives at their third year. Our eight year-old joined her last summer, and the two of them spent the most incredible two weeks with the most thoughtful and attentive counselors and crew. My 11-year-old is super crafty, athletic and very social. She eats this up. My eight-year-old is kind of a typical athletic boy who is a picky eater and can be a bit shy and nervous with anything new. He was very nervous about going, especially for two weeks. And when we picked him up? He told us that he wanted to come back every summer. My husband and I looked at each other and disbelief. Please look at the videos on their website. Read posts like mine. This place is incredible. My husband and I want to attend for ourselves! It’s pure magic. Camp Pinncle is an empowering, safe, FUN, thoughtful camp that is the “ideal” summer camp. Leadership? They are completely devoted to Camp Pinnacle’s mission. They care so much about our children and creating this magical place. They are real people who care so deeply. We are so grateful to think that our kids are growing up in a place like this.

Our kids had such a magical time at Camp Pinnacle this summer! They said it was a 10 out of 10 even if you include the food! (One of them is quite picky.) We had some anxiety about sending our six and eight year-old to sleepaway camp for two weeks, but the camp staff did a fantastic job of communicating with us before the session and during the session to help make us super comfortable. The kids are still singing camp songs, three months later. They are excited to go rock climbing and mountain biking, which they developed a great passion for at camp. They also loved their spectacular high ropes course. And there are slides built into the landscape all over camp, which added to the magic. We didn’t hear any negative comments about other camper behavior and when we picked them up, they were crying because they were sad to say goodbye to their friends. They are already gearing up for next year. Safe to say that we are doing all we can to make it happen! Also, just to make it clear, while it’s expensive, there is a fair amount of trips all the campers go on, which is included in the price. That is not the case with most other camps.

Granddaughter attended with TMCS and she says they had a great experience. Upon arriving for pickup you get to see the definition of a camp. Undoubtedly provides any and all things that you expect from a true educational camp experience

Amazing camp. It is a sleep away camp with many activities. It is a beautiful location caring and kind staff and many fun activities. My son went for the first time being away from home, loves camp, didn't want to leave and can't wait to go back next year.

CAMP PINNACLE FOR LIFE! We held our wedding here recently and had the most amazing time! We knew we wanted a wedding weekend and Camp Pinnacle was the perfect choice for us. Michelle, the coordinator through the camp, was absolutely amazing to work with. She provided detailed responses to our questions and was a rockstar on the weekend of the event. Chef Richard did an amazing job ensuring there was plenty of food. We had so many people tell us how excellent the food was all weekend. The camp staff helping Richard in the kitchen, and the staff leading activities (high rope, rock climbing, archery, zip lining) were super friendly and accommodating. We have received so many compliments and we could not have asked for a better wedding weekend!
