★★Blair MartinGreat workout area, but the basketball court is hardly available. $30-$35/ month for a membership, $10 day pass, but you have to call ahead to see if basketball court available due to events which they have scheduled in advance. This could easily be fixed with a weekly or monthly schedule of events, so that workouts and times can be planned accordingly. So be aware that if you come to this gym for basketball mainly; you most likely will not have a chance to play throughout the week in the day time and in some cases the entire day 3-4 days out of the week.

I see working out as an important mental outlet for me, and I also thought the rec center childcare would be a great change of scenery for my daughter. The gym itself is nice, with plenty of space and enough equipment, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, the childcare area was very bleak and uninviting and the reason for me canceling my membership. Most of the toys were put away and out of the children’s reach. There didn’t appear to be any engaging activities available for the kids. When we came to check it out before signing up, there was one female and one male staff member. On our second visit, there were two male staff members. While they were polite and professional, I didn’t feel comfortable leaving my daughter in the space. The room itself felt closed off, with no windows or visibility, which added to my discomfort. I believe the childcare area could really benefit from being more open, visible, and child-friendly, with accessible toys and interactive activities. With some improvements, this could be a great resource for parents.
