Powered by GoogleThe Greater Boston School of Dance is an exceptional place for dancers to learn. The instructors are highly skilled and knowledgeable and have a genuine passion for teaching. They ensure that students of all abilities feel valued, challenged, and encouraged to grow as they learn both the foundational skills and artistry of dance, and they keep it fun while doing so. GBSD is my daughter’s favorite place to be. One standout feature of GBSD is the classical ballet program, which includes a curriculum is that rigorous in a developmentally appropriate way while encouraging an appreciation of the art of ballet. We also love that there is an opportunity to perform in a Nutcracker performance. Additionally, the competitive dance program at GBSD has been an incredible experience. The program is well-organized and developed thoughtfully to elevate growth across many areas while maintaining the integrity of positivity and a healthy, supportive atmosphere where teamwork and camaraderie are encouraged and expected. My daughter has gained so much from both her recreational classes and being part of the competitive both as a dancer and a person and looks forward to her classes so much! The recitals are always top notch and organized in a way that allows family and friends in the audience to enjoy the show and watch their dancers shine. Finally, the countless special little touches the teachers at GBSD infuse into the dancers’ experience from cute displays at holiday times that build community to themed days and bring your grownup to dance week (just to name a few) just inspire the dancers to love dance even more. I highly recommend the Greater Boston School of Dance to anyone looking for a nurturing, high-quality dance program with outstanding teachers.
The best place for kids to dance! The friendliest atmosphere you can ask for and the place is just beautiful and comfortable, and with plenty of parking 😊. My daughter started dancing here about 1.5 years ago, started as a recreational dancer, she did ballet and acrobatics and loved it so much! Then after seeing all the competitive kids she became very interested in that as well, so she became part of the “company”. It is a very competitive group sport that requires dedication and discipline, but at the same time she has so much fun and it promotes positivity and teaching a lot of important life lessons for kids! Now my daughter just can’t get enough of it! Her absolute favorite style is Tap dancing now and Ms. Kelsey is just amazing at it! The entire staff is super professional and really helpful! I love being a dance mom at this studio! ❤️
GBSD is awesome! Our daughter has learned so much in the three years we have been there, it has been incredible to watch. The instructors really know what they are doing, and clearly love doing it. The studio is a warm welcoming environment, and the space is a spacious and beautiful place to dance!
I’m always amazed at how much my daughter progresses at GBSD each year. The teachers are so talented and always wow us with fresh and challenging routines. The studio follows strict Covid protocols which helps ease our minds a bit in this crazy time. Their competitive teams are strong and give the students a sense of team building and community. We are so happy to call them our second family and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the studio to anyone looking for a fun activity for their child.
We looked at many dance studio's and immediately felt like the vibe at GBSD was more down to earth. They saw my daughter's potential in dance vs. her already made skill sets. They took her and taught her to be more skilled and a better dancer all around. I was right about the culture, it is a warm community and everyone is treated like family. My daughter LOVES it there and has made wonderful friendships.
