The New England School of Performing Arts (NESPA) runs summer programs for ages 5-18 in North Reading, now in its tenth summer session. One-week themed programs for ages 5-10 run 9:00am-2:00pm at NESPA's Concord St studio and move through theatre games, group songs, solos and duets, scene work, dance and art projects each day. Two-week programs for older performers run 9:00am-3:00pm at the Quannapowitt Playhouse in Reading, where campers audition on day one, then learn music, blocking and choreography and help paint scenery and make props before a ticketed public performance.
