Look no further! There are so many basketball leagues out there and choosing the right one for your family is important. We have been with the Tar Heels for 2.5 years now - in various capacities from a rec team to tournaments. All of the coaches we’ve had have been exceptional. They truly care about their players on and off the court, developing them into stronger players in all facets of the game. We have experienced playing against other leagues who exhibit incredibly poor sportsmanship and lack of integrity. The Tar Heels pride themselves on modeling the best of both and never stooping to those levels - prioritizing setting good examples for their players over simply winning. The Tar Heels staff and coaches are a blessing to our family as are the friends we have gained from being with the organization.

The Tar Heels have been a wonderful experience for us. About a little over a year ago we began looking for the next level for our son. He tried out for a few teams in the surrounding area. After experiencing a Tar Heels practice and listening to and watching Coach Nate conduct a practice and give instant feedback was exactly what we were looking for. Coach Nate consistently gives players in-game feedback and is always trying to push the boys to be their best and he does so in a positive manner. Over this past year our son has significantly grown as an athlete, his court awareness and game IQ has definitely improved as well as his confidence. Our son has worked his way up from the academy team and now plays on the tournament team and the coach from his academy team and his current coach were and are great as well! They have poured into our boy and we are so thankful for them.
