STEM Builders of Plymouth runs Monday-Friday summer camps in robotics, coding, engineering and science for kids roughly ages 6-16. Full-day camps serve grades K-5 and half-day specialty camps serve grades 6 and up; campers build and program robots, code games and apps in Scratch, Python and JavaScript, and design bridges, towers and Rube Goldberg machines. Camps run June through August at the Plymouth learning center, which also operates as a year-round tutoring and enrichment center.

★Andrea HollingsworthMy son had his 8th birthday party here, and it wasn’t a good experience. There was only one staff person present for a group of four boys, each building a complicated spinning battle bot. EVERYONE needed help, and she just wasn’t able to keep up, leading to confusion, frustration, and boredom. It took so long to get the robots built that the boys didn’t have much time to play with them. Additionally, the place was dirty and unkempt (trash overflowing, no toilet paper in the bathroom). It was a hot day and the staff person didn’t know how to turn on the A/C (I figured it out). If you’re considering a kiddo party here, I’d look elsewhere.
