Ms. Jodi is an amazing teacher and amazing person. She drove over an hour each way on weekends with her sons to teach special needs children in San Diego how to swim. My daughter being one of those kids. My kid was extremely tough to teach and many times did not treat Ms Jodi with kindness. Ms. Jodi was not phased by it and was always patient and kind with my daughter. No one else would have been able to teach my kid how to swim. She actually did one better. She trained her so she could make the swim team at 6 years old. Guess what, she did! My daughter is now a highly ranked swimmer in the region and we have Ms Jodi to thank for it. It was beyond technique that she taught her. She taught her how to interact with others, what the expectations would be, and how to use her differences to her advantage. I will always recommend her and what she did for my child. She is more than fair with her business, treats everyone respectfully, and cares about the students she teaches.

Jodi is an icon here in San Clemente. All 3 of my boys and my special needs nephew has had the pleasure to have her as an instructor. She taught my kids the necessary and crucial things about safety and swimming. I would recommend her to anyone… especially for special needs kid. She is extremely caring and understanding to each child while helping them build the courage to push themselves to gain the confidence in water.

UPDATE - Harassment & Credible Threats received from close friends of Jodi the owner of this outfit. Solicited reviews claim the owner is not political, yet upon disagreement, the first thing the owner did was send her political activist protest group friends to harass and threaten me to take down my honest review. BEWARE! ---------------------------------- I came to Jodi of Special Fishies: Aquatic Freedom and Education merely asking to teach my daughter Maddy how to tread water for safety. Instead, I got 2 years of expensive lessons for Maddy to learn other techniques and still Maddy did not know how to tread water after 2 years! In retrospect, I cannot help but feel we were strung along and taken advantage of. Worse, after I went on the line to help Jodi per her own request, as a personal favor to counter a previous Negative Google review, I now feel betrayed and stabbed in the back with the same tactics used against me to counter my fair, accurate and truthful recounting of facts! The former Negative review was from an irate client who felt Jodi was not patient or capable with her Special Needs Child. This Negative Review and history was expunged after Jodi tactfully changed her business name from the former "Little Fishies Swim School" to its present name. This allowed her to start with a clean slate and lose the former Negative Reviews. Now we come full circle again to the same situation as before! NOTE the last reviews before mine were all from 8 years ago, all in 2018, with new SOLICITED & CONTRIVED glowing positive praise reviews suddenly appearing from Jodi's personal friend group, mere hours after this, my critical review. Her rabid friends literally mocked our valid personal experience as clients with laughing emoticons and unfair remarks. This shows Jodi is wholly UNACCOUNTABLE for her actions, behavior and history!!! Given how Jodi treated me after a simple info exchange, and how she has now SOLICITED CONTRIVED glowing reviews after my fair and accurate review, Jodi's lack of patience (and fairness) has really indeed shown. 🤕
