★★★John OlingerThe facility is average. The summer camps are great, but getting into desirable camps is tough. Swim lessons and pool use have been convenient in the past. The skate facilities are world class. I have not had a good customer service.experience via phone with this Y ever. I’ve actually called other locations to get answers about general info and had pleasant experiences. So three stars overall.
★Mike ColangeloI have had my 8yo in camps several times with YMCA. He attended there sports camp and they called me saying he was hit by a baseball in the face. The councilor said they did not provide helmets but did to the other children after the incident. When I arrived my child had a massive swelling on his forehead and I had to rush him to the Er. The councilor said they accept full responsibility. Several weeks later I got the bill and contacted them for payment and Brittney Lingenfelter, Program Director replied this: Good Morning Michael, Thank you for reaching out. Again, we hope Skylar is feeling better and recovering well. Please note that the YMCA does not carry participant medical liability insurance. If you have additional questions or need further clarification, we're happy to assist where we can. I wrote her back several times with question over the next several week and she has ignored every message with no reply. Very unprofessional of Brittney Lingenfelter to ignore our emails and not address the situation.

I've been a member of Ecke Y off and on for nearly 20 years, so I have had a good number of experiences there! My kids went to the after school programs, and now that they're grown up, we all enjoy the gym sauna and pool. This is one of the great values in Encinitas; great price, nice facilities and friendly knowledgeable staff make this place a winner!
★★Aaron AndersonThe people there are really nice and they do good things in the community but their hours and maintenance of things like the sauna make it feel like the gym dues are there to subsidize preschool and after school programs. The last 6 years have been a steady decline in level of service in the gym. Maintenance during normal hours, long repair times for the sauna and hours that only line up for the retired and work from home crowd have added up to needing to find a new gym to belong to. With so many options in the area, this place was a real gem, until about 2019, and it just keeps fading.

This certainly isn't going to be your $200 a month club premium club, however it definitely holds up to a very high standard and has all the amenities to get a great workout in.
