Powered by GoogleDropped my baby off at the childwatch here. My babies are 3 and 1. They mix with the other children. There was a very tall older male child about 6-8 years yelling the profanity starting with the letter “F” over and over. At first I was like…. surely the staff will correct this and this child will not be allowed to say that. There were 4 YMCA workers. None said anything. A male one noticed my stare and said that’s enough. I’m thinking they have the common sense to stop inappropriate language for all the children. There are parents with manners and parents that care about inappropriate, vulgar language. I should have known they wouldn’t because of how many times that child said it before the male went over… So sad! My daughter regurgitated that junk from that uncorrected, unmannerly child. I shouldn’t have to wonder if my children are going to be cursed over and over. Going to start going to a different YMCA.
i normally use the pools for swimming laps and doing PT, but now I'm adding EGYM to my workout. This is a resistance workout circuit which was recommended to me by my doctor, for strength training and bone density improvement, to reverse a diagnosis of osteopenia. EGYM is easy to learn, and the corresponding app is also simple to navigate, for tracking progress. Jordan and Brennan walked me through the program and eGYM app usage. I was comfortable with both trainers (Jordan was training Brennan as we did the circuit) and I felt that Jordan did a great job of explaining the program and showing me how to use the equipment. The locker rooms, pools, bathrooms and showers are always clean, thanks to the high YMCA maintenance standards. Give this Y a chance, and I'm sure you'll be pleased.
They have 2 pools one outside and the warm one indoors. Fantastic place to go it's a big place to go and do my exercises in the pool spend 2 hours there. Fantastic work 👏 loved the people the employee's and the atmosphere!!!
I would like to say thank you to all the team there at the YMCA I remember my kids use to do the after school program in San ysidro I had the chance to stop in and get a day pass and get a work out. I would recommend this place to many people out there. So stop in and check it out I'm sure you'll be satisfied
This facility is incredible and I’m glad to call it my home gym. I use the weight lifting room, cardio equipment, and indoor/outdoor pool regularly. The strength training equipment is abundant and evenly spaced with plenty of squat racks, machines, and floor space to accommodate varying crowds. The cardio room was just recently updated and all the equipment is so nice to use! I’ve been loving the new treadmills. The indoor pool is often being used for programs. The outdoor pool is the perfect temperature with a great view of the surrounding palms and lounge chairs for a comfortable and luxurious swim experience. I really love and appreciate the Masters Swim program here too. Overall, this is an amazing resource for anyone of any fitness level or interest and my favorite Y location in SD!
