South Houston Tennis Academy runs beginner-through-intermediate tennis camps for children ages 5-12 at the El Lago Center in McNair Park, grouping campers by age and ability for instruction, practice and match play. Families choose a morning camp ($139/week) or a full-day camp ($199/week); both include a light lunch. The companion XLR8 Sports Camp uses the same site's three championship tennis courts, an Olympic pool with a water-park slide, covered basketball courts and a multi-sport field, plus lifeguarded free swim and air-conditioned indoor time for movies, video games and arts and crafts.
