Homer Ford Tennis Center is one of three City of Houston municipal tennis centers that host the Houston Parks and Recreation Department's free youth tennis programming. Its NJTL classes give free beginner and intermediate lessons to children and teens ages 4-18, pairing stroke fundamentals with an educational, life-skills component. Homer Ford is also the home of HPARD Tennis Dreamers, an invitation-only program for intermediate and advanced players selected at tryouts, which runs a free three-hour camp on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
