Children's dance and performing-arts school in Brewster, Putnam County, that runs several summer camps: theater camps, intensive dance camps and children's dance camps, including a one-week ballet camp built around The Nutcracker. Formats vary by session, from morning camps to 90-minute 'Imagine That!' mini-camps for ages 3-8, and before- and after-care is offered for ages 3-10 at an hourly rate. During the year the school teaches classes and performance teams grouped by age from 2 through 18.

The teachers meet every student where they are at and differentiate their instruction to meet a wide range of ability levels as well as personalities. The supportive environment they create for all students has such a positive impact on all the kids. The confidence my daughter has gained in just 3 years has been amazing! The older kids encourage the younger kids, nobody is cut throat even in competition or try outs. My daughter was given a part in a play at just shy of 5 years old, I was worried she would be nervous but the encouragement of all her peers in the show of all ages had her on stage, nerve free, lines memorized after practicing with her peers and she did fantastic. I believe that peer encouragement is what has steered my now 10 year old to have a true passion for theater. SSSPA is great place for any budding performer!

It's been almost 3 years since we started and she keeps asking for more dance. The teachers and owners care so much about the kids and they go out of their way to make everyone feel welcome. The other students are so welcoming and supportive. It's like its own community. They are also keeping our kids safe with COVID better than any other sport in town. No small detail is missed here.
