Challenge Camp is a STEM and arts enrichment day camp held on the air-conditioned Iona University campus in New Rochelle, serving academically motivated and gifted learners. Campers build their own schedule from more than 150 project-based electives - 3D printing, coding, drones, robotics, filmmaking, game design, chess, podcasting, theatre and more - choosing two 90-minute morning workshops and three 60-minute afternoon classes and keeping those courses for the whole session. Classes are selected by current grade level, and the campus offers science and computer labs, a dedicated esports room, a black box theater, a gymnasium and on-site swimming. The day runs 9:00am-4:00pm with optional early morning from 8:00am and extended day to 6:00pm; a hot lunch and afternoon snack are included, a kosher lunch option is available, the camp is nut and seed free, and a full-time nurse is on staff. Door-to-door transportation is offered from Manhattan, Riverdale and southern Westchester.

My kid had a black eye from being kicked over into the wall during lunch and he had to go to urgent care and it cost a lot in medical bills if you go here, you hurt your child. not to mention the "educational" activities are >75% of the time just minecraft. food is slop. pickup line takes 90 mins.
★Eli GoldfineTerrible! Do not send your kid here if you want them to come home. Everyone at the camp hates it. Most classes consist of kids playing video games the whole time. Food is mediocre. Communication is terrible and the administration is disorganised. Lunch/recess is a riot (images attached). Camper quality is awful as many of them punch little kids.

I think that it’s great that they let the campers choose their own courses by interest so that they learn many new things that you normally can’t learn in school. ★Max SteinI was a 6th grader that went to Challenge Camp in 2017. There was a new location that was in Hartsdale, New York. The activies were mostly good, but the food was really bad. I signed up for 3d printer builders, but they made me assemble an over-priced really old 3d-printer that catches on fire really easily. The coding programs were okay but a little too easy for me. The rock star class was good, but it was a little too easy for me. Also, the Rube Goldberg class was fine, except that I thought that the machine wasn't that complicated. Overall, this camp was not great. Also, I wouldn't recommend the camp to younger kids because my younger brother got lost at the transitions all the time and cried. He also got bullied by an older kid, and no one mentioned it to my mom.
