We use the facility mainly for swim lessons so this pertains mainly to the family locker room and pool area. General staff at the entrances, life guards, and pool staff are all great. The family locker room is clean and there are plenty of shower rooms, changing stalls, and lockers - though it can get crowded at times just before and after lessons, leading to some shuffling around to get to your space or waiting a bit for a stall. They've set out free coffee in the morning on the weekends, which is greatly appreciated. There's also a video gaming room with PS5, Xbox, PC, Nintendo Switch, and some other gaming systems. Great spot for independent and responsible kids to spend some time if you need to take other kids to lessons or are off to your own workout. Excellent facility!

Rose Boyer is amazing! My kids have completed multiple swim lessons at the YMCA, and we ran into some scheduling challenges for an upcoming session. Rose went above and beyond to troubleshoot the situation and accommodate our family’s needs. She is approachable, kind, and truly invested in helping families have a great experience. The aquatics staff overall has been fantastic—patient, professional, and great with kids at all skill levels. It’s clear they care not just about teaching swimming, but about building confidence and safety in the water. We’re so grateful for the support and flexibility. Highly recommend the YMCA aquatics program! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

This is a very modern and spacious facility to enjoy. The gym area is huge, there’s an indoor track, tons of lockers everywhere that have passcodes you can put in, fun areas for the kids, and a very nice pool area with a steam room. It’s also nice to have the current loop in the kids pool, and the splash pad connected. Very state of the art. There are certainly issues with this location though. The biggest issue being accessibility in the locker rooms. It’s very upsetting to see that the locker rooms were designed to be so small, likely to cut corners and save money. As this is the newest facility in the GRA, it’s very upsetting to see the differences in this location, versus the older builds like northwest and bay view. The older builds have very spacious locker rooms with many showers, changing rooms with grab bars, and more than one specifically designed handicapped shower in each locker room. This location only has a small amount of regular showers, with only one large shower in both the men’s and women’s locker room. They are not labeled like they should be, I’m not even sure how that’s ADA compliant. People are also constantly stealing the shower chairs to use as shelves, and using the big showers just because they like the space, and not because they need it. There are no changing rooms with grab bars in the women’s locker room. And I do tend to think that it’s very dirty in them. Also, I don’t believe there are ANY showers with curtains in the family locker room, as I don’t recall seeing any back in the summer, and parents are always bringing their young boys into the women’s locker room, despite it being a female conforming space for all children over 1. Another example of the execs cutting corners to hoard money. Also, people are always throwing garbage on the floors. All that being said, the staff are super friendly here. The lifeguards are always helpful to wheelchair users, and the associate executive director was very understanding and friendly with me when I reached out about these concerns. Now the shower issue obviously cannot be resolved now. The building is already complete. I strongly encourage the YMCA company to keep accessibility in mind when building their next locations. These memberships are absolutely not cheap. Honestly they should be more affordable, especially since a few years ago, they cut off Medicaid support. It also would be nice if the weekend hours were extended, as this is the busiest location in the area. 6pm on a Saturday is just too early. Not everybody abides by a 9-5 schedule. All people of all abilities and financial status should be able to comfortably use the facilities.

I started going here at the tail end of 2025 and liked it so much that now I'm there 4 or 5 times a week! It's like a second home already - and I have a home gym too, but I prefer to go here! I love the options I have to keep my workout routines varied and interesting. And then so many great options to recover after working out (hot tub, sauna, steam room), all in the same space! It's also a great place to bring kids swimming for fun or for lessons! And they have a child watch if you need to get a workout in also. The staff are all very friendly and helpful and the place is kept super clean and well maintained. There's great class options for all ages. There's so many unique activities for kids and adults to partake in; it's truly a one of a kind gym/athletic center. My only wish is that I joined sooner (hah!) and that maybe there were a few more standard bicep and tricep machines (with selectable resistance) that weren't tied to the key fob system.

It's a very beautiful facility very big but if you get here after 5:00pm there's no parking. 5:00am is better. But I only just started. So I'll update in one month to see if it's worth the over 100$ per month. So I use the elliptical where the augmenting reality video plays. It's almost like play meta without the headset. The sauna is pretty good. Pool is ok but again crowded after 5pm. Stay safe stay positive and kindness always.
