The Rock Hill Aquatics Center is a YMCA of Upper Palmetto facility with an eight-lane therapy pool and a ten-lane competition pool. It offers swim lessons, water aerobics, and year-round competitive swim teams (the Upper Palmetto Stingrays). It is an aquatics facility rather than a kids' summer camp.

★James Southfamily just attended swim meet at this exceptional facility. Only one issue and it was rather overwhelming. As others have commented, the chlorine levels were unbearable. While staff indicated that it was normal, I find that hard to believe. Several of the competitors were coughing through out the event, through the night and after. Might want to check airflow. its just a suggestion.

★★★★★Callie DrozinskiWe were there for a finale summer swim meet with 8 teams competing. Only the top four swimmers in each event, from each team competed. It was very full in there but my family and I still got seats. It is also very hot in the summer here but they head a few game mounted that were blowing pretty good. Also, you can step into the lobby where the AC is pumping. They have a nice board that shows you the winners and everyone's times. They have a 10 lane lap pool and a smaller warm up pool.
★★★Mike RomotGreat swim facility for a swim meet. Plenty of lanes and space for teams as well as for spectators. Support spaces (bathrooms, lockers, and circulation) were sufficient as well. Parking for large events did require surrounding areas and school to accommodate the cars. My lower rank is solely based on the temperature of the facility. The pool deck and spectator stands are very hot during the time we were there. We were forewarned but for a meet that lasts 3 hours, it was uncomfortable. The limited number of area fans did not sufficiently cool the space. The humidity coupled with 90+ degrees made watching the meet miserable. When swimmers getting out of a pool are sweating on the pool deck between events, you know it's hot. I think the facility should consider an upgrade to their HVAC and large ceiling fans to move air for everyone.
