From a swim lessons perspective we've had a good experience and I will give them that. From a program / billing perspective I've rated them a two because we took advantage of a seasonal special where we bought a package special with a number of lessons for a designated amount. Over the past month we had winter storms and sickness though that caused us to reschedule several of our weekly scheduled group lessons. They have some crazy policy (only business I've ever encountered to do it) that basically forces us buy a monthly membership now just so we can use the remaining lessons in the package that we already paid for. I've bought tons of packages of all kinds and never encountered something this ignorant. I feel taken advantage of, scammed, and will do everything in my power to not spend another dime there as a result as well as share my experience as appropriate with anyone who ask about the business.

If you're looking for an awesome place to teach your toddlers / young kids to swim, look no further! Goldfish has become family. We've had our 6 year old with them since she was 3 and she not only can swim well, but they're teaching her flip turns and butterfly! My son is 3.5 and has been with them since he was a baby and is getting more comfortable in the water everyday. Erin and Jamie the managers are WONDERFUL - they work with you and your child to get them to where they need to be. And the staff overall is amazing! We've loved every teacher. I'm dreading the day my 6 year old outgrows lessons and swim team - Goldfish swim is our family's favorite activity of the week!

It's with hesitation that I write this review because I SO wanted to give this place 5 stars. The facilities are top-notch, and the front-desk staff is very friendly and accommodating. My also children really enjoyed their experience. So, why the 3 stars? Well, first, please note that my main reason for enrolling my 7, 5, and 3 y/o at this particular place is because I could coordinate their lesson times (again, very accommodating!) and the facilities made it easy for me to bring along my newborn, as opposed to the sprawling YMCA facilities, etc. Goldfish is pricey, but they market it as reasonable when you consider ratios, etc. All that to say, you're going to spend a good chunk of change for lessons, but if you're like me, you're okay with that IF the instructors deliver. So, I made it very clear that my main goal is for them to swim by the summer (they started 10/2018). My oldest is proficient (thanks to a short stint at the Goldfish School in Carmel, IN), but my 3 and 5 y/o were not independent swimmers. They took lessons for 6 months (that's a lot of money) until we moved 6 months later, and they still weren't swimming independently :( Yes, they got cute report cards about milestones, which are great, but overall, I want them to swim THEN work on those other water skills. Instead, they just enjoyed water "skills," but no substantial progress in regards to swimming; I sort of felt like I had been strung along. Fast-forward, and we moved close to a college that offers lessons. It's not cutesy with decorated facilities, but they pushed my 3 and 5 y/o and had them swimming in just 4 lessons. I realize Goldfish may have laid some groundwork for that, but in retrospect, I think far too much time and money were spent laying groundwork instead of getting them focused on the most important thing first: swimming. To be fair, the school was just getting started in fall of 2018, so perhaps they are now pushing their swimmers a bit more, so parents are getting their money's worth. I hope so.
