Tell me you’ve never actually been here without telling me you’ve never actually been here… I saw a review from another autism parent calling this team “outrageous” because their kiddo wasn’t able to fully participate in a group class, and as an autism mom who relies heavily on reviews when making decisions for my child, I wanted to share our experience so people can hear another side. As autism parents, we know our children often need extra support and sometimes more 1:1 attention. Personally, I chose private lessons for my son because they give him the opportunity to learn at his own pace without feeling overwhelmed by a group setting. My son is also on the spectrum and is incredibly active. We’ve been coming here since September 2025, and our experience has been nothing but positive. Bryce, Jalen, Yasmin, Chris and Sebastian have always been patient, kind, and understanding with my son and his needs. I’ve also seen them, week after week, show that same care and patience to each child that comes through the door. I can’t speak for someone else’s experience, but I can honestly say our family has felt supported from day one. Working with children of all abilities isn’t easy, but from what I’ve seen, this team actually cares.

We have been at Big Blue for three years now, and it has been an amazing experience for both of our kids. If you’re looking for swim lessons in Pineville, this place is truly special. From the moment you walk through the doors, you are greeted by name and with genuine smiles. The facility is spacious, clean, and very well organized. The front desk team is always welcoming, helpful, and kind, which makes every visit comfortable for both kids and parents. From the beginning, every coach my children have had has helped them feel comfortable in the water and built their confidence step by step. Communication with parents is excellent. We’ve been lucky to work with several amazing coaches: Coach Sebastian -- has coached both of my kids, and they absolutely love him. He’s friendly and playful, which makes lessons fun while still helping them learn and improve. Coach Tyson -- has been incredible with my daughter. He is very patient, explains things clearly, and makes each class enjoyable. She genuinely looks forward to her lessons with him. Coach Yasmin -- was one of my son’s first coaches. She is very attentive, clear with her instructions, and challenges him in a way that keeps him focused and improving. Coach Jalen -- is so warm , playful, patient and encouraging. He helped my son feel comfortable and confident in the water, and my son absolutely adores him. Coach Bryce --is calm, patient, and very disciplined in her teaching. She truly cares about the kids and helps them recognize their strengths while encouraging them to reach their full potential. She has helped my son grow tremendously in both skill and confidence. Every coach we’ve met at the Pineville location has been warm, caring, and dedicated. Big Blue has played a huge role in building our kids’ confidence in the water, and we are incredibly grateful. I recently started my 5 year old who has never had swimming lessons. I cannot recommend this place enough! It is a great facility and everyone is so kind and helpful. There are plenty of day and time options which make it convenient for working parents. Special shout out to Sebastian and Tyson who have been our instructors. My son has been hesitant about putting his face in the water and they have such a great balance of being kind but pushing limits. Sebastian is especially good at getting him out of his comfort zone yet is playful. Within a couple of months, he is at a level 3 and I know a huge part of that is because of them! The best part? My son LOVES it! So much so, we go twice a week. He has not committed to any sport/hobby like he has with this which makes me so happy!
