Powered by GoogleMs Holli and her team are absolutely amazing. They treat my kids as if they are their own. She is professional, kind hearted and very knowledgeable about her craft. She makes safety a priority always and puts her hear and soul into NYRDA. Your child will learn not only dance but many life lessons that they will carry years after attending. If your child is interested in dance NYRDA is a great place for them to learn and grow. We love Ms Holli and have nothing but great things to say about her and her studio!!
Holli has been an instrumental figure and dance teacher, both during my childhood and now as I’m an adult who dances recreationally multiple times per week. While I currently live on the West Coast and take class with dance teachers locally, I consult and work virtually with Holli as her training and experience are unmatched. Not only does she possess extensive knowledge of multiple forms of dance, she uniquely understands physiology and translates this into how to keep a body mobile, flexible, and at decreased risk for injury; all immensely important. While the physical benefits from dance are aplenty, the life lessons learned through dance, specifically Holli’s classes, have also been helpful to me throughout my professional career as a psychologist working with children and families. Holli’s teaching philosophy taught me to show up even on days when things were difficult, the importance of teamwork, how to stay focused during times of stress, and of course, precision. Precision as structure, beauty, and confidence. I can’t recommend Holli enough and am incredibly grateful to have had her be a part of many seasons throughout my lifetime.
I’ve been a dancer at NYRDA for the past 9 years. It’s been such a great and fun experience. Ms Holli is such an amazing and professional teacher. She has taught me more than just dance, she has taught me how to be more confident in myself and take pride in what I do. What I like about NYRDA so much is how professional yet fun the environment is. It feels like being part of a big family. I have loved every moment of my time here and I can’t wait for many more years here at NYRDA !!
Though my child no longer dances at this studio, I still feel compelled to share how incredible our experience was here. From the very first class, we knew we had found something special. Holli was an amazing teacher who genuinely cared about each student. She was patient, nurturing, and always encouraging—helping my child build both technical skills and a love for dance. My daughter came home from every class excited to practice and never once felt intimidated or discouraged. The positive energy from both Holli and her fellow dancers made it a place my daughter looked forward to every week Although my daughter is grown with a family of her own now, the lessons my child learned here—both in dance and in life—have had a lasting impact. The performances and recitals were always such a highlight, and we truly appreciated how organized and professional everything was. It’s rare to find a studio that prioritizes both education and personal growth the way this one does. I will forever be grateful for the role this studio played in my child’s early years of dancing, and I highly recommend it to any family looking for a supportive, nurturing, educational and fun place for their kids to dance.
I danced under Miss Holli’s leadership for almost 10 years and I couldn’t recommend her enough! She is EXTREMELY knowledgeable in the performing arts. I remember the first day my mom and I walked in to sign up for hip hop and ballet technique classes. I was 12 or 13 at the time and was so nervous but Holli welcomed me with open arms. I fell in love with dance so much that I began “studio helping” In gymnastics, dance 1&2 and some pre dance during my 2nd year at NYRDA and later began to teach a dance & gymnastics class of my own under Holli’s guidance. She truly has an act for teaching and getting little ones engaged. She takes the time to ensure that everyone, no matter their age or skill level, is comfortable and challenged in the right way. What I especially appreciate is she focuses on technique while making sure the classes are still enjoyable. She always gave personalized feedback, which helped me improve on my skills/techniques. Not only does she teach incredible technique, but she also focuses on building confidence and pushing each student to their fullest potential. Every class is a safe space to learn, grow, and express themselves. What truly sets NYRDA apart is the genuine care for their students’ progress. Holli goes above and beyond to make sure that everyone is not only improving in their technique but also developing a love for dance. Holli’s passion for the performing arts and teaching is very evident in everything she does. If you’re looking for a teacher who will inspire you or your child, challenge you, and make every class a joy, Holli is the one! I truly cannot recommend her & NYRDA enough! You will not be disappointed.
