Thank you for creating and fostering this beautiful culture that is SDD! Three of our four daughters dance at SDD (it would be four out of four, but she’s too young!), and they each have found their own reasons for loving dance and their own place in the SDD community! Recently, we watched my oldest daughter perform in her first community performance at Hayes Barton Place, and I was moved by how beautiful the event was, for everyone involved. The joy and excitement of the performers was fun, and seeing how proud the dancers were of themselves and each other was inspiring. I know it was very rewarding for my daughter to know that she could bring a smile to someone just by doing something she loves to do. I am very grateful that SDD seeks opportunities like this for their dancers.

My daughter has danced at Stage Door Dance for 3 years, and she has loved every second of it. She has adored every teacher she's had and her dancing has improved immensely since she started dancing there. I love the non-competitive aspect of the studio - I really think it helps build up the dancers and creates a collaborative feeling throughout the whole studio. What I really love about this studio is all of the opportunities my daughter has to dance and perform. My daughter wasn't interested in competitive dance, but really wanted the chance to perform at more than just an end of the year recital, and Stage Door Dance has provided that opportunity! Every year, there is the opportunity to dance at local events, specialty showcases, and a benefit show. There are also opportunities to travel, perform, and take guest classes at really cool locations - last year's highlight was an amazing lesson by two Rockettes where the girls learned part of the March of the Wooden Soldiers dance - it was AMAZING! If your child wants the opportunity to learn and perform at a supportive, collaborative studio, Stage Door Dance is the best choice in the area!

We are starting our 4th season at Stage Door Dance at the Lake Boone location. We have been so lucky to find this dance studio. They offer many dance disciplines across all age groups. We’ve done their year round classes, summer programming, as well as teacher workday camps and have enjoyed all of them. The teachers are fun, caring, enthusiastic, and incredibly knowledgeable. The learning atmosphere has been supportive and fun. We especially appreciate the mission of the studio that dance is for everyone, and that everyone belongs. Our girls love it here, and will be here a long time!
