Montgomery Center
Private
Montgomery Center (Montgomery Presbyterian Center) is a nonprofit Christian camp and retreat center on 167 lakefront acres between Starke and Keystone Heights. It offers both a day camp for children ages 6-11 (Monday-Friday, six weeks, about $180/week) and overnight programs, blending traditional camp activities such as archery, a climbing wall, swimming, tubing and canoeing with Bible study and camper-led evening worship. Faith-based but welcomes all.

Powered by GoogleMy husband and I were recently married at the Montgomery Center. The director, Rebekah, was helpful and professional throughout our planning stage. Her staff were all friendly and supportive during our wedding and reception. Our event contact, Marion, was especially helpful in making sure that we had everything that we needed. I will definitely recommend the Montgomery Center to anyone planning an event in our area.
We stayed at Camp Montgomery several times in 1974 in preparation for our church mission trip to Mexico. We had a lot of fun. Once when clearing leaves from a covered pavilion I saw the biggest scorpion I’ve ever encountered in Florida! I’d like to see how different the place looks now.
Our company hosts many retreats for youth and adults at the Montgomery Center each year and we love our time there! Each of the lodging options have such a great view of the lakes, the property and trails are gorgeous, and we enjoy the variety of activities available while on retreat. Their staff are always friendly and the food is great! It feels like a home away from home.
This is a camp from my youth. I went every year for seven years. I learned to water ski, kayak, hydro slide, sail, and canoe. The camp across the lake had horses but we didn’t care. Even the tomb stone between the cabins was great! I have some Of the fondest memories of my life at this camp. I Wish my daughter could experience it.
We love spending time in retreat at Montgomery. We always leave refreshed and ready to return to normal life. Thank you for all the hospitality.
