Florida Elks Youth Camp

Florida Elks Youth Camp is an overnight camp on a 405-acre property in Umatilla, run as a project of the Florida State Elks Association. It offers seven one-week sessions each summer for ages 9–14 plus three 14-day sessions for ages 12–13, running from Sunday afternoon check-in to Saturday morning check-out with housing and meals included. The camp is deliberately electronics-free; facilities include two full-size shaded swimming pools, a large lake for canoeing and paddle-boating, a challenge ropes course, an archery range, a gym with three full-size basketball courts and 150 acres of fields. Cabins sleep seven campers with two staff and have heat, air conditioning and a private bathroom. Fees are $220 for a seven-day session and $440 for 14 days; the Elks may provide scholarships that cover the full cost for families who cannot afford it, and the seventh week is free for dependents of active military members.

The activities are fun, well-planned, and help build confidence, friendships, and independence. It’s amazing to see the positive impact this camp has on young people, and it’s clear how much dedication goes into providing such a meaningful experience. This camp is honestly stunning 😍 We stayed in the cabins and had the BEST time. The grounds are immaculate, the scenery is straight-up postcard material, and the cabins? Spotless, roomy. and air conditioned. Would 100% recommend. Only pro tip: bring WD-40… because the beds will squeak if you even think about moving or sneezing 😂

Great cabins for Girl Scouts not quite ready to sleep under the stars, wonderful staff in the pavilion, and helpful ranger. Can't wait to do more events here.

We had great experience at Florida Elks youth camp. Cabins are clean with good space and cooled by AC. Hotel rooms available too. The big pavilion area is amazing equipped with tables, chairs, full kitchen and stage ( for presentations … etc). The gym is big and can be split into multiple basket ball fields with a seating area on the side. Next to gym, the sessions rooms, they are big and clean. The place has two volleyball fields, canoeing, and archery.
