The Florida Sheriffs Youth Camp near Pierson is a free overnight summer camp operated by the Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranches for dependent, neglected and at-risk youth ages 10 to 15. Set on 200 wooded acres, sessions run about 5-6 days with canoeing, archery, high ropes, challenge courses and arts and crafts, and pair campers with deputies serving as counselors. Camp is completely free with no tuition or registration fees.
