Camp Welaka is a 640-acre Girl Scout overnight camp on a portion of Jonathan Dickinson State Park at Jupiter/Tequesta, operated by Girl Scouts of Southeast Florida. Sessions of three to five days serve grades 2–12 with archery and slingshots, canoeing and paddle-boarding, hiking, crafts, pool time and quiet rest periods; campers sleep in cabins or platform tents grouped by age and all meals and snacks are included in the fee. A registered nurse is on site for the duration of every session, a full-time camp ranger lives on the property, and the single public gate is locked while campers are present. Phones and smart watches are not permitted. A three-week Counselor-in-Training program runs for older girls.

Powered by GoogleI love this camp grounds. Signs all around, you can't get lost. The air felt great
And I really enjoyed getting to spend the weekend there with my daughter. It was nostalgic and just as good as I remembered.
The camp has decent facilities. The catwalk is nice and the canoes are great. The cabins are defintely rustic and there are some plaform tents with large spaces in the floor. It is a nice place to visit during the winter months with lots of bug spray. HOWEVER ASK LOTS OF QUESTIONS BEFORE SIGNING UP FOR SUMMER CAMP! WHEN MY DAUGHTER ATTENDED THERE WAS NO AIR CONDITIONING AVAILABLE FOR THE CAMPERS DURING HER ENTIRE STAY. IT IS NOT HEALTHY TO BE OUTSIDE 24/7 IN FLORIDA IN THE SUMMERTIME. WHEN THE HEAT I DEX IS ABOUT 100 MOST DAYS.
I love this camp. However, the noseeums are brutal. Not a lot of shade from nature but the pavilions and cabins help. Great for troops or service units. Just make sure you can keep the bugs away!
Today was our first time visiting Camp Welaka and we had a great time. We did several activities and got to meet other troops. The volunteers were very helpful, fun and we learned a lot.
