Meydenbauer Bay Yacht Club runs a learn-to-sail program on Lake Washington in Bellevue for ages 8-18 who can demonstrate swimming ability. Ten week-long camps run from mid-June through August, Monday through Friday, 9:00am to 4:00pm, in Optis, Lasers, FJs and c420s; beginning classes cover sailing fundamentals, dinghy handling and safety, while intermediate and advanced classes expand boat handling and introduce racing. Instructors are certified by US Sailing and trained in water safety and first aid. Club membership is not required, campers bring their own lunch and life jacket, and before- or after-camp care is not available.

Powered by GoogleI called to inquire about offerings and cost structure and the gentleman who I spoke to was very rude. He clearly presumed that I couldn't afford it and it refused to answer my simple questions directly, instead going on and on about how they only provide services to members and how long their waitlist is.
My parents EMIL AND FRAN HANSEN WERE VERY ACTIVE AND MORED THEIR CRAFTS THERE THE 1940S AND 1950S. Believe she was an Officer in the Women's Auxiliary To the memories. I am now 83!
Great club and excellent place to keep your boat. Members volunteer to run the club.
Yes, the setting is beautiful and the docks quaint and small, but having the full on Huskies Band belting out tunes in the clubhouse, complete with cheerleaders, was over the top awesomeness. Opening Day 2022.
Great location and even better people. The facilities are wonderful. The only thing lacking from a visiting person point of view was no shower facilities at the clubhouse. But not a deal breaker if you have one on board your own yacht/boat. Good space, huge kitchen area, great for events.
