Gig Harbor Junior Sailing is a nonprofit sailing camp for ages 6-18 at West Shore Marina and Wollochet Bay, where campers learn to rig, steer, trim and sail Optis, prams, O'pen Skiffs, FJs and c420s alongside water safety skills and knot tying. Full-day camps run Monday through Friday, 9:30am to 4:00pm ($585/week); the Jellyfish program for ages 6-8 is a half-day at 9:30am-12:30pm or 1:00pm-4:00pm ($345/week). Camps are open enrollment by the week, though Intermediate and Advanced levels require an instructor recommendation. The program is a registered 501(c)(3) and scholarships are available.

There is a new challenge for him at each age and the program is like a family. The coaching staff is amazing and the older kids invest in the younger kids. I couldn’t have hoped for more.
