Corinthian Yacht Club of Seattle keeps a floating clubhouse at Shilshole Bay Marina in Ballard, and its youth sail camps are run by the affiliated CYC Community Sailing Center, a separate 501(c)(3) for which club membership is not required. Week-long camps run Monday through Friday, 9:00am to 4:00pm, for ages 6-16: Guppies (6-8) introduce the basics in small stable boats, Youth levels (8-12) progress from beginner dinghies to Opti racing tactics, and Teen levels (12-16) sail FJs, c420s, Fevas and Lasers. A Teen Adventure week adds navigation, VHF use, tides, anchoring and a voyage to Blake Island with one midweek overnight. Instructors are US Sailing certified, all sailors take a first-day swim check, and scholarships cover up to 50% of tuition for eligible households.

Powered by GoogleThe best location for Sailing in the Puget Sound and great facilities. Their Youth Sailing Program coaches are fantastic and the community is super welcoming. Very reasonable membership rates.
Such an amazing perfect place. I’ve been going to their sailing camps for two years and it has always been a joy. The instructors are so kind and helpful and the JI’s are just the best. Could never recommend more. The camp is well thought out and designed. When you’re out sailing you have the privilege of being on your own or with a partner but you have the safety of the instructors on power boats if you need them. So well though out and fun has been such a big highlight of my summer every year.
Had a really bad experience there i had driven into the parking lot and couldn't find a way to exit the property where I wanted to. Saw a security officer so I drove to him and I guess he hadn't noticed me driving up to him because he was startled when I started to ask him how I could exit where I wanted to and he started telling me I had to get out of there and he was going to call the police. And then he started accessing me about being this guy who he had trespassed a couple of weeks earlier. Well I told him a few choice words and told him if he thought I was the guy. He should probably go and review the video of that night. And to get so.e psychological help.
This is such a great club to be a part of. We visited our brother and his family in Redmond, WA, and they are a part of this club. They are able to take boats out on the ocean or local lakes by reservation whenever they want. We got to go on an ocean boat for the day and explore some of the islands on the Puget Siund.
Fantastic yacht club, great venue. Love the laser races!
