Metedeconk River Yacht Club runs a junior sailing program from late June to mid-August, open to swimmers aged 5-18. Mini Conk introduces 6- and 7-year-olds to sailing, and older juniors progress through Optimist classes from beginner to racing team, then Feva, Laser Radial and Laser 4.7, and Club 420; a weekly Advanced Sailing Class is held for juniors aged 14-17. The club hosts the Junior Powder Puff Regatta, a girls-only event held each July that draws over 250 sailors from along the Atlantic coast.
