Bay Head Yacht Club runs one of the country's strongest junior sailing programs, which has grown to more than 130 sailors. Children begin at age seven learning in Optimists and move up as they progress to compete principally in Laser Radials and Club 420s. Junior programs cover both sailing and racquets and run in summer sessions, with the first day of Session 1 in late June; registration is due by the end of May. It is a private club.
