Powered by GoogleI been a member of the McKinney YMCA since 2014, and I’ve always enjoyed the community it’s provides. The fact they have a variety of classes daily, and the gym equipment is available when the Facility is open. Your staff and instructors Are very welcoming, and I have built friendships over the years that I still maintain today with some of the members.
The Mckinney YMCA is the best! I love everything from the people that run it so smoothly to the machines, and the many choices of classes. The Mckinney location helps the members with the machines, memberships, classes and truly cares for everyone. Mary and Kari, at the front desk, are honestly caring and treat us as if we are family. Also, they are always available as a friendly ear to listen to you while offering your children sweet treats. The manager always addresses each person by their first name and is so very kind. The cleanliness of the locker rooms, restrooms, machines, classrooms, generally the entire facility is beyond approach. Also, the instructors are superb, friendly and very talented. Rachel 's Zumba classes, one of my favorites, is so much fun and lighthearted. I am sure everyone has a hard time trying to fit in all the fun classes. We have such a great time, there is no way you don't walk out of this gym without a big smile on your face and a lightness in your step as you are bided a “good day” by Mary and Kari.
AWESOME! AWESOME! This is how I will describe Ms. Morgan, the AOA Strength class instructor. She connects with every student in her class and works on enabling each participant optimize his/her outcomes. Today was my first day at this Y. Fortunately, this is, also, the first class that I attended. I’m looking forward to happy days at this location.
I was hoping to become a member, however, this particular location is not a part of Silver & Fit Medicare. I did not feel a friendly welcome by the staff at the front desk. The view of the workout area from the front desk was not appealing and looked dark and small. After this experience, I would rather pay for a membership at the Apex Centre than seek another YMCA.
Small little fitness center with mostly bicycle equipment. The bathroom is gross. Mostly older people so, older people's equipment and socializing. Small room for a children's center. There's coffee.
