Mary Sears Childrens Academy
Mary Sears Children's Academy has run summer day camp for ages 5 through 12 since 1964. The day alternates sport and water activities every half hour - basketball, soccer, football, kickball, field hockey, frisbee, softball and volleyball paired with lifeguarded swimming pools, waterslides, slip-and-slides and sprinklers - broken by lunch, playground time and an afternoon snack. Wednesdays are field trip days to destinations such as Hollywood Park and Windy City baseball games, Fridays are barbecue days with prizes, and rainy days become indoor carnival days. Camp starts at 8:30am with campers changing into swimsuits; registration and tuition are set separately by each location.
