Marquee Youth Stage is a nonprofit performing arts education studio in St. Charles offering youth theater training and short performance camps alongside year-round Broadway Minis, Broadway Kids/Jr, Broadway Players and Conservatory programs. Camps build toward a staged performance; the studio's most recent summer camp page lists the next lineup as to be announced. Programming spans ages 4 through high school, and an Intern Boot Camp for grade 9 and up trains teens in directing, stage managing, teching and stagecraft. Sessions run as class-length blocks of roughly one to three hours rather than a full camp day.

Pignataro IVwe recently had our daughter in a k pop demon hunters 4 week class and the room they rehearsed in had these mirrors in the back and curtains kids were mostly hiding behind….there was no instructions really for the kids and all they most of the class was a start stop with a cellphone kind of freeze game between dancing…kids were given likes to read which took up the other part of class. all the kids were running wild pretty much being there age and the teachers were very quiet. would have helped if they had some microphones. one wore a headset for only the first class or two. either way it was a free for fall and we all saw it. for some reason the main performance was this past monday, memorial day….a lot of people made arrangements for their holiday to be based around this program. we waited at 4:30 til about 5:15 until we were allowed in after only being offered warm water bottles and bags of chips that were not complimentary which is whatever. but the email went out at 9;30 the night before about this waiting around for 45 minutes after the kids needed to be there. the whole performance ended up being about 30 seconds for the first group and maybe 3 minutes for the second as they read lines off little pieces of paper. the first group our daughter was in didn’t even get to read their lines only a quietly played backing track while they did a few motions. i feel like the marquee is run terribly. many people were in shock at how short the performance was and very upset. we all feel ripped off and it was a waste of time. an introductory dance class that is gonna turn away many people from putting their kids in again. i felt bad for the girls running it cause they got thrown under the bus. the facility is nice. just think they need to really revaluate the entire program fast before the reputation gets tarnished completely and indefinitely.
