Sensory-Friendly Places in the Dallas Area for a Perfect Family Weekend

Up from SPI. Had a my soon to be grandsons baby shower. Very nice venue for smaller intimate events. The location is pretty much downtown and easy to get to. The park seems very well maintained and used by alot of folks. The actual event building is very nice with a kitchen.. It cost us $60.00 a hour.. You must setup and take down on your own. Cleaning as well. The staff while being a tad detached did their job.. There's probably 100s of these types of locations in the greater DFW. So, it comes down to location.. Plotted. Scouts Out.

Truly a gem of the neighborhood. Amazing Japanese Garden that they just renovated, and it came out awesome! Also has a full recreation center as well as outdoor courts. Indoor AND outdoor pick-up pickleball! Great place to bring kids to chase the ducks around the lake. 🦆 Also a great place to take engagement photos! ☺️

Kidd Springs Park has always been a delightful place to relax and exercise for my family and I. Home to a wonderful pond with various ducks and turtles to look at while walking around and by sitting down at the benches close to the pond. They also have a recreational center that is clean and full of various activities to do. The Japanese Garden located near the pond is also a beautiful touch to the beauty of this park, and makes it stand out from other parks in the area.
