YMCA of Kewanee's summer day camp runs June 1 through August 7 for children in kindergarten through 6th grade, Monday to Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Each week is fully planned around water safety and swimming, Tuesday tumbling gym time, hands-on science and craft projects, outdoor play and at least 45 minutes of active play a day; screen time is capped at 20 minutes a week with no video games or phones. Breakfast, lunch and an afternoon snack are included; the rate is $33 a day or $17 for a half day, and a Junior Counselor program is available for older youth.

★★Mercedes VallartaI came to visit my family from Chicago and my nephew took my kids and I to the pool. I was also a member of the Y when my kids were younger so I was excited to visit. The young lady at the front desk was very kind and helpful but inside the pool I just did not like the experience. When we got there there were floaties and pool noodles inside the pool already. The kids were playing with them for an hour until some guy that I guess works there approached them and I overheard him asking them why they grabbed the stuff without asking him first. The kids were very confused and I told him that they were already inside the pool when we got there, but he kept intimidating them by saying it's pool property and they need to ask before using the equipment. I did not see a sign that stated this and as an adult I think he could have addressed this to me instead of some little kids. The kids then approached him to ask to use the equipment and he told them "why do you ask me go ask the life gaurd". My nephew told me this is the Manager and I didn't find his approach appropriate. I am very disappointed by this visit.

★★Maggie MillerI remember all the fun I had as a kid here at parties in the tumbling center. Yesterday at the tumbling center the girl who was supposed to watch the kids and make sure everyone is okay was not doing her job very well. She was on her phone on Snapchat and Instagram. She also put cones on all the trampolines, so us adults couldn't jump. Also, she told the kids not to get any toys out to play with because 'they could get lost'. This was overall the worst experience I had at the YMCA Tumbling Center. At the end of the party, she said something about she had a date to go to, so I believe she was just making it easy for herself to clean up.
