Powered by GoogleRaymond at the Bettendorf YMCA is truly exceptional. Every organization would be fortunate to have an employee like him. He is consistently friendly, professional, and hardworking, and he goes out of his way to make everyone feel welcome. What stands out most is the positive attitude and genuine care he shows to members every day. Whether he’s helping someone with a question, keeping things running smoothly, or simply greeting people with a smile, Raymond makes a lasting impression. He has had a tremendous impact on our experience at the YMCA and genuinely makes coming to the gym more enjoyable. Employees like Raymond are a big part of what makes a community feel special. Thank you for all that you do!
Did you know that if you join the YMCA and have a scheduled surgery coming up and attempt to cancel your membership you have a 14 day grace period before your account is to be charged at your bank and after that they will charge you for the full month after you've cancelled your membership whether you use it or not
Love this Y. It’s always clean, staff is friendly. I love they they have multiple workout areas. I’m not a huge fan of weaving in and out of people to go workout but there are a few smaller areas that I can go to get my workout in. I also like that o have the track option or the treadmill option. At my old gym I felt like I was always waiting for a stairmaster, not at the his gym, there are a ton of them. I’ve never once had to wait for one!
Swim lessons are a complete joke. A child pooped in the pool, and I was very concerned with their method of dealing with the situation and cleaning it. They really are not watching kids well at all during swimming and playtime after lessons. Very concerned regarding general safety. Edit: changing review to 1 star because they changed their terms and conditions to cancel memberships. I bet everyone is canceling membership now that the summer is over.
I usually do EGym and swimming. I like the fact that you can do both there under one roof. But several things that can be improved: cleanliness of the locker rooms (see picture; I'm sure this is not just from one day), EGym capacity (it is often busy and you have to wait to get a spot), and lastly the heating of the pool was recently broken. Also the big water slide is never open.
