Love going here! Packed most of the time but great place. Got charged twice I could not prove it because was cash but that's OK because they got alot of equipment to choose from and really cheap compared to other workout places. Huge pools fun time.

My family has been a member at this YMCA branch for a long time. We’ve built routines here, explored sports, and even volunteered in the past so writing this is incredibly disappointing. Recently, my daughter was involved in a serious incident in the Kids Adventure Center. Another child pushed her, put his hands around her throat, and broke her brand new glasses all while under staff supervision. I was called while upstairs working out, but was only told that a child pushed her and broke her glasses. When I arrived, my daughter was visibly distraught, crying, and immediately said, “Mom, he was choking me.” I personally saw redness on her neck. This was the first time choking was mentioned by my child, not staff. What’s most concerning is how this was handled afterward: - Staff did not report the full severity of the incident - I was told someone would follow up with me about replacing her glasses, which never happened - Management (Gunnar) later denied responsibility and stated the incident was only a push - I was told cameras “did not capture” the incident, yet no clear explanation was given as to whether other footage (such as my arrival and conversations with staff) was reviewed This raises serious concerns about both child safety and integrity in how incidents are investigated and communicated to parents. When a child reports being choked and shows visible signs of distress, that should be taken with the utmost seriousness regardless of whether a staff member directly witnessed it. I understand policies exist, but accountability and good faith matter. At minimum, I expected transparency, consistency in communication, and some level of support after my child was hurt under their care. Unfortunately, this experience has left me questioning whether this facility can truly ensure a safe environment for children. I hope leadership takes situations like this more seriously moving forward.

An incident occurred in the kids play area where a 4 year old choked my 7 year old daughter and then proceeded to break her glasses that we just bought the week before, resulting in them being snapped. Their mother was told they would reach out to help with the cost of new glasses. Fast forward a week later Gunnar the branch executive reached out and said they would not tell us the parent’s name, which I understand. He also said they would not be covering the glasses, nor would they cover any membership fees as a good will. He informed us that she was only pushed and that is what made the glasses fall to the ground and snap at the bending point of solid metal. The glasses were only a week or two weeks old. Practically brand new. Which we had to pay out of pocket to replace. He also informed that their cameras do not cover all of the kids area and this incident was caught off camera. He also assured this wouldn’t happen again, even though he couldn’t assure this should have never happened in the first place. We were told the kid was banned, only to find out it was for one day and he was back in the play area the day after. From our phone conversation All he could say was “I understand” and that it isn’t in their policy to help with anything nor give a goodwill credit to our account. This is highly unacceptable from the ymca and we will be canceling our membership after 5+ years of being members and paying 70+ a month.

I visit the YMCA a couple times a week and always have a great experience. The facility is clean, the staff is friendly, and there’s a really positive environment overall. It’s a great place to stay consistent and work toward your goals. The only downside is that the sauna in the men’s locker room is frequently down and could use some repairs. When it’s working, it’s a huge plus, so I’d love to see that improved. Overall, still a nice experience and I’d definitely recommend it to others!

Terrible place. Let's start with the fact that I paid $67 for one month and half of the facilities are broken. The pool is freezing like I'm in the arctic. The hot tub is cold. Even the showers were cold. They dont have very good coverage on those either in the men's shower rooms as my son was uncomfortable because anyone could watch him shower through the one thin shower curtain whereas the women's have two. Seems a bit sexist. Then they dont want to let us know that you need an ID or set of keys in order to get a basketball. Had I known that, I would have simply sent my son with a basketball of our own. I was at work and someone handed them a ball to use and then staff came and took it because he didnt have keys. He has no ID as his school ID is only online which they would not accept. He has no driver's license because he has seizures. He has no house keys because we have a keyless entry, it's a code to get in. I called from work and asked if he could trade anything else such as his apple airpods and was told no. Over a basketball. Then, to top it off, my son was in the middle of a shower and my nephew and his friend were waiting just outside the family shower door on the bench for him to finish. They KICKED OUT these minors into the snow saying they had to wait outside for him to get out of the shower. They told them to knock on the shower door and get him to get out of the shower. First, why wouldnt they do that themselves? Secondly, it was locked. How are they to get in? The workers are beyond rude and just say "that's just our policy" for all of this but DID NOT tell us these policies or have a list of them anywhere to read. I asked for a low income form when I joined and they gave it to me AFTER i already paid full amount. What good does that do me? They told me to fill it out and it might work next month. I wouldnt pay $5 a month for rude service, unhelpful staff, staff who are rude to minors, and a facility that has 90% of their building "under construction " which is also not told to you when you pay. I tried to cancel my membership over the phone and email and was told I had to come in person to do so. I'm a single working mom whose husband recently died and my son has seizures and kidney issues. Had I been told in time, I could have done so. Instead, I ended up having to pay for an extra month I'm not using simply because my day off was 2 days after I tried to cancel on time and I had no way of coming in. This is such a rip off and I have no idea who would pay for this. Would never return again.
