This is the park near me, not to big to be grand, not to quiet to be scary, but still very alive. I reminisce how I ran like a child yearning for play. I believe I will be a old man sitting at the bench praying to the cross out front. As for now, I am simply listening to the song that this park is playing for me. This song doesn’t call for me to dance, but to sit still, like a pond does when the sky turns orange. This park isn’t flashy, it does not impress. This park is beyond that. This park is demure, a hidden gem you may say. It comes to you in layers, an interesting story that always turns, slowly, honestly, ceaselessly. Take a visit and and it’ll tell you something you didn’t know you need to hear. Show you something you didn’t expect. It’ll help you be you.

Locked baseball field with a soccer goal in the middle. Playground kids enjoy playing on. Volleyball court is ok and it has a round solid circle ball court. Im too old to know what it's for.

SEMONES FAMILY YMCA offers a wonderful community outreach summer day camp each year at this location: Camp Roc! This is a great example of how the Y strengthens the community and offers opportunities for campers to develop important social, emotional and cognitive skills. Best of all, children create memories that last a lifetime at camp. Counselors in Training are also welcome to volunteer by acting as role models, developing leadership skills and creating a positive impact on campers lives.

If you have soccer games it's not so bad, however there's not enough shade. The playground area is outdated and there's graffiti on the building for little kids to see.
