Music school founded in 2021 with locations in Hanover and Braintree, running week-long summer camps and workshops in band coaching, jazz, sound recording and ukulele ensemble. Camps are split by age and interest: Future Rockstars and Junior Virtuosos for ages 5-8, a Rock Band Studio in which students form a band, learn cover songs, write original music and perform, and a Musical Theatre Intensive covering singing, acting and dancing. The school also teaches private and group lessons year-round in piano, guitar, voice, percussion and songwriting.

Powered by GoogleJSMS is the best place on the South Shore for music lessons (kids and adults!). My daughter and I have taken guitar lessons with Ed for almost a year - we have had such a great time and have learned so much. In addition to being really talented, Ed is great to learn from and fun to work with. We really look forward to guitar days every week! Jesse (the owner) is really kind and helpful. You can tell how dedicated he is to fostering an inclusive and supportive environment at the school. We very highly recommend JSMS to anyone!
Wonderful experience taking lessons here for the past few years--always such a friendly and amicable environment! Joe is an amazing percussion teacher and has seriously allowed me to hone my skills over the past few years.
I absolutely LOVE JSMS! It is SUCH an AMAZING, WELCOMING environment! The teachers are GREAT, shoutout Jesse, shoutout Dan, shoutout Andrew. They are THE BEST! Keep on rocking!
We really enjoy the school. We have had two different teachers and both were great!
Jesse encouraged my son and his friends to start a band almost two years ago after taking part in a rock camp. Since then, they’ve built up their confidence and playlist, and perform live at every opportunity Jesse finds for them. My son loves the school so much, he started taking more advanced guitar lessons there with Dan this year. Jesse recently asked him to join a second band, and I’m sure Michael will be spending a lot of his summer in Jesse’s camps. If your child is into music, this is a fun, motivating and nurturing environment where they will be pushed just far enough outside their comfort zone to see real progress.
