As an 18 year old, who found a love for theater at an older age, I thought it was going to be impossible to begin my theater journey, but East End made it possible. When I auditioned for the production of Rent, I did not expect to be so successful. I truly thought there was no way I was going to be casted, and I was okay with that. I thought I would have slim to no chances of being casted because this was my first audition, my first acting and singing experience, and on top of that I was getting ankle surgery in December when the show was to be performed in February. After finding out I was casted in the dance ensemble, I was beyond thrilled, happy, and excited to be a part of East End and this process. As an extremely anxious person I found myself to be anxious when we first started rehearsals, but as rehearsals went on I became so comfortable in the community of people. This cast and crew was truly incredible. East End has become such a safe place for me, most likely the safest place outside of my home for me. The community created at East End was so judgement free, and everyone was able to come together at the end of the day, leave their outside struggles at the door to be able to have fun and create a loving environment no matter what. This experience at East End motivated me to keep going in life and also gave me something to look forward to every Monday and Thursday. Even on the hardest days, the cast and crew did whatever they needed to create a safe, loving, and comforting space. East End has changed my perspective on life, love, and friendships, and all the memories I have made from this experience will be cherished and live long in my mind. I am confident to say that I will be coming back to East End when any opportunity is given and will continue to create so many good memories at East End with future cast and crew members.

East end is so so welcoming, I preformed my very first musical with them this past weekend, and let me tell you it was amazing. I came into the first rehearsal with no prior acting experience whatsoever and they helped mold me into the actor I am today. Over the past 4-5 months I formed bonds that will last a lifetime, had chest bursting laughter, and theatre knowledge that will carry me through every show I do. I truly will always come back to East End whenever I can and I truly hope if someone is looking for their next musical or trying to find a theatre to start their acting career with, that you chose to work with East End.

My daughter had an amazing experience at the one-week summer camp. On the first day, she got an exciting part assigned to her and put her all into practicing and preparing all week long, and was so proud of the performance. I cannot say enough good things about East End Theatre & Performing Arts. This was our first experience in theatre and it was amazing! I had no idea how to get my daughter into acting but with this company the audition process was fun, comfortable and stress-free. Jess and Jillian made us feel so welcome and answered all my questions. The rehearsals were very well planned out down to the minute and my child couldn’t stop saying how much fun she was having! They provided team building, vocal coaching, character development, and dance training throughout the rehearsal process. My child loved all of the staff and felt supported even when this was her first time singing on a main stage. She gained so much confidence! They make all of their sets and the end result of the stage and costuming was very impressive. My family and friends also commented on all of the talent and how much they enjoyed the show! It was a great experience for all of us I cannot wait to do it all again. I highly recommend this company!
