Powered by GoogleI live close by the facilities and was looking to get back into swimming. I went to the aquatic center the other day and was asking questions about the pool. The person assisting was really nice and helpful. They asked if I wanted to get a membership and I mentioned I wasn’t sure yet since I wanted to see if I could get back into a routine before committing to a membership. I returned a few days later and it was someone else at the desk. I told them I wanted to do lap swim and they asked if I was a member, to which I said no. They proceeded to tell me I had to be a member to swim. I asked if they had drop in passes or anything and they said no, and asked if I wanted to see membership pricing. I declined and left. It is a bit disappointing that the facility doesn’t have drop in prices or any sort of trial. While I do like the convenience and want to try to get back into swimming, I don’t feel comfortable committing to a $50 plus membership when I can’t test anything out first.
I recently purchased a family pass to HFFA and was excited to visit for the first time, but unfortunately the experience was disappointing. While swimming, I noticed multiple lifeguards standing around talking instead of actively paying attention to the pool. One lifeguard did seem attentive and focused on the water, which I appreciated, so I moved closer to that area to feel more comfortable. When I tried to ask her where the manager was, she explained that she was a manager herself, but not the manager on duty that day. When I asked where the acting manager was, she was unable to locate him anywhere. As a first-time guest, this made me feel uneasy and uncomfortable, especially around water safety. I ended up only swimming for about 15 minutes before leaving. I understand everyone is learning and gaining work experience, but professionalism, attentiveness, and leadership are especially important in an environment where safety matters. I hope this feedback is taken seriously so future guests can feel safer and more welcomed.
Great gym community vibe and friendly, approachable staff. Consistently clean, well-organized, and equipped with everything needed for a great workout. It’s a welcoming space for both beginners and experienced members.
I checked in for a day pass and Arlene at the front counter was very rude and criticized me for “sloppy handwriting”… it was my signature…saying how children didn’t learn to write in school. And especially didn’t learn how to write in cursive. This was very offensive. I also did not have my glasses and I explained that and was still mocked for my writing. The other staff was beyond friendly and welcoming. The lifeguards specifically!
Went to the center to look around. Looks like they have a huge competition pool, a smaller pool that had little kids taking lessons, weight room, room with exercise equipment, aerobics room and an outside volleyball court. Had a pop-up Christmas Market too. Looks like a fun place!
